Baking Bonanza Giveaway

DSC_0069

Just two weeks ‘til Christmas, and we’re in the middle of holiday baking. Of course we’ve got all the special cookies that appear only at Christmas, but we’re also making a variety of yeast breads, pies, and candies as part of the celebration.

And while we’re on the topic of baking, we’d like to add a little extra Christmas cheer to one lucky winner’s day. We’re giving away a holiday baking bonanza, featuring 9- and 7-inch pie pans by Chantal. Chantal’s exceptionally strong, non-porous glaze won’t react with foods or flavors, and you can slice and serve directly from the dish without worrying about scratches. Crafted to ensure excellent heat distribution, this pie dish promotes even baking, cleans easily in the dishwasher, and is oven, microwave, and freezer safe.

The rest of the giveaway is just icing on the cake, to continue the baking theme (and we love icing!): Tevolo silicone cupcake molds, a Zak Designs heart-shaped nesting bowl set, LoofahArt Christmas tree kitchen scrubber, William Bounds silicone cookie turner, Nordicware 8 shapes in 1 cookie cutter, Now Designs Christmas tea towel set of 2, RSVP green silicone spoon, Now Designs red mitt, Fox Run gingerbread spatula, RSVP stainless steel 6-qt. mixing bowl, and a Chicago metallic gingerbread man mold.

(Chantal and the other manufacturers don’t know we’re giving away these items.)

TO ENTER

To enter our baking bonanza giveaway, just answer the following question in the Comments section of this blog:

What special holiday goodies are you baking this Christmas?

Scroll down to the very bottom of the page, type your answer into the Comments section, and you’re entered to win! (Or just say “Happy Holidays.” That’s fine, too.)

THE RULES

Just one entry per person. If you would like to respond to another entry, don’t worry; duplicate comments will be weeded out so everyone has an equal chance to win.

No entries after 11:59 p.m. (Pacific Time) tonight, December 11, 2012. We’ll post the one (1) lucky random winner here tomorrow, Wednesday, December 12. Don’t forget to check back to see if you won!

(The winners will be chosen completely at random. Winning is not based on the quality of your response.)

I make pans of cinnamon rolls to give to all my employees (about 20 in all), I make simple cookies and candies to give to neighbors and close friends. I love cooking, but have very little patience when it comes to baking…so the easier the better, but people are always telling me I bake the best desserts. Little do they know that most of them start with a mix! I am getting more into bread baking, if I start it in the bread maker! With a cool baking kit like that, I could experiment more!

Theres so much were baking this year. We do a cookie party will all our friends that are like family. We started this tradition 4 years ago when we moves outta state with no family or friends close by. And my kids wanted to make it feel like home. We do sugar cookie cut outs let at the kids design about 12 different shapes with crazy toppings, we do fugde, chocolate chip, oreo balls, rice crispy cut outs, peanut butter, and we do a smash up of each family that comes to our party they bring there own family cookies for us to bake and we all mix em together to make all of our traditions one as like we done getting to know theses families over the past 4 going on 5 years now.we all love it and look forward to it every year. U can bake every cookie under the sun but there’s something about mixing them all that make it more special and from the heart cookie that we all wait for this time of year.

I want to do a Hot Chocolate bar when the family comes over, also looking at using the 3 in 1 crockpot to use dark, milk and white chocolate for dipping. YUM! Merry Christmas!
