Judging by their rapt expressions, our photographer is the most exciting thing that’s happened to these neighboring cows all day.
You could call the life of a dairy cow either blissfully relaxing or incredibly dull—it’s all a matter of perspective. The cows probably don’t spend a lot of time thinking about it. Or thinking at all. They appear to live in the moment, responding to immediate internal or external stimuli, and generally leaving the worrying to the two-legged species.
Is there a life lesson here? Well, probably not. But it wouldn’t hurt to take a minute or two each day to step off the merry-go-round and practice “dairy cow Zen.”
