We’re happy to report that our friends at the Mayo Clinic have given our morning cup of bliss a mostly favorable review. This is good news indeed for those of us who savor the flavor or need the buzz of a good strong brew in the morning.
But note the “mostly” favorable review. Coffee doesn’t get a completely free pass. Unfiltered coffee, such as the French-pressed version, can raise cholesterol levels slightly. Coffee drinking can also increase the risk of heart disease in certain individuals.
So, as is so often the case, it seems that moderation is the key.
