Slow Cooker Recipe

Autumn in a Bowl

Chunky Applesauce

Mmm-mmm. Chunky, spicy, fruity, and juicy, this applesauce is pure autumn in a bowl.

It’s also good for you. No one at your dinner table will miss the baked desserts or ice cream if you finish off your meal with this.

We don’t like our applesauce too sweet, so we used the smaller amount of sugar. Depending on the sweetness of your apples, you could probably reduce the sugar even further.

Oh that looks so wonderful! I never put extra sugar in anything apple made in my slow cooker, be it apple butter or apple sauce. For me, apples are sweet enough!

Press it through any kind of a strainer if you prefer a finer texture.
