Slow Cooker Recipe

Turkey Breast with Orange Sauce

Turkey-Breast-with-Orange-Sauce

Turkey is one of our favorite meats to make in a slow cooker. We find that while chicken is easy to overcook, turkey becomes juicy and succulent after slowly cooking in our slow cooker.

We like to serve this Turkey Breast with Orange Sauce to company in the winter when the orange sauce adds a fresh citrusy flavor with a gentle bite of rosemary and garlic to our meal. This very easy recipe looks like it took a lot more prep time than it really did.

I am going to give turkey another try in the slow cooker using this recipe. The last time I fixed turkey breast in my slow cooker….it was dreadful! Dry…and no flavor. I don’t know what I did wrong….either cooked it too long or on too high temperature.

I used my slow cooker for our Thanksgiving Day turkey 2011. There was only three of us so I decided to do a breast instead of the whole turkey. It turned out great!!! And the best part is i just left the broth in, added vegetables and the leftover turkey back into the pot for a slow cooked soup the next day.
