On Tuesday, we posted a giveaway for a Hamilton Beach 5½ Quart Slow Cooker and a Duo Cook and Serve Crock-Pot!

We asked: How many slow cookers will you use to prepare your Thanksgiving meal?

And the lucky, random winner is…

# 108 Amy Scheck

“I only own one (so sad!), BUT I will use it multiple times. The day before, I’ll make a pumpkin bread pudding with raisins and chocolate chips–it’s actually better reheated the day after. Then the day of, I’ll use it to make apple-ginger glazed carrots and parsnips. And the day after, I’ll use it to make turkey soup!”

Congrats, Amy! It sounds like these slow cookers might come in handy as you prepare your Thanksgiving meal.

Contact us today and we’ll get you these slow cookers in time for Thanksgiving. Contact prizes@fix-itandforget-it.com to claim your prize.

Thanks to everyone who participated!

I wan to do the whole meal in slow cookers this year. I’m going down to the salvation army and good will and see if I can find the old kind of slow cooker that you have to wash by hand, they should be really cheap and I can do one dish in each one!

I use it to make mlulled wine the day of Thanksgiving and Christmas. One it is done, the slow cooker keeps the wine warm. Just be careful when you lift the lid. the alcohol fumes can knock you for a loop.
