Did You See This?
Summer Kick Off Giveaway – May 20, 2013
We are in the home stretch! We are driving with the windows down

Even though cooking with a slow cooker is super-convenient and makes food that tastes great, it does have some challenges. Long, slow cooking tends to make food look less colorful and fresh when it comes out of the slow cooker.
But some food emerges from the slow cooker looking lovely and burnished, as though it’s just come out of the oven or off the stove top. It commandeers a platter!
Sesame Pork Ribs look irresistibly appealing and are true stars on a buffet or dinner table. In fact, I have used this several times for my appearances on QVC, and the ribs always look amazing. Not to mention that they taste great as well. Just ask David or Carolyn or Mary Beth, the wonderful hosts I work with!
The sauce in this recipe is ample enough to cover the pork and to keep it from drying out. Slow cooking in the rich sauce makes the pork supremely tender and infuses it with a wonderful flavor.

I have a recipe just like this and it is really good; the pork is moist and tender.
Will this work for boneless beef ribs?
Hi Laura! Yes, this will work for boneless beef ribs, however, we rcommend reducing the cooking time to 4-5 hours as the meat may become tender faster without the bone in it. Thanks for asking!
Sounds wonderful…thanks so much for sharing…will try this weekend!
Sounds delicious – definitely plan to try this!
Sounds wonderful! Since all the sauce goes in the crock pot anyway it seems like you could save a dirty bowl by just mixing the sauce in the crock pot, stirring the ribs around a bit to make sure they are all coated well then put the lid on. I will be trying this out this weekend
although I see now that the onions go on the bottom, so stirring the ribs around in the pot might mess that up…
I’m making these tonight! I’ll report back soon
Is there a diabetic version for this? My hubby loves ribs but is diabetic.
I just went out and got some ribs on sale at my local supermarket and I am going to make this tonight!!! The house should smell heavenly :-p
Is there a printer friendly version of the recipe?
Susan: While it is a pain to have to do it this way, it works. Copy and paste each of the instructions into Word…or whatever word processing program you have. It takes a bit, but you get a printer friendly recipe…but no pics.
I am getting ready to serve this with rice. The smell is phenominal!
I made this over the weekend, and it was a hit at my house. Next time I will add more of the red pepper flakes. Needed a little more spice. But all in all, delicious! Thanks.
Did these recently and we loved them. After cooking in the crockpot until done, I moved the cooking liquid/sauce to a saucepan and added a little cornstarch, brought it to a boil, and then simmered it until it thickened. Put the ribs in a baking dish, poured some sauce over them and popped them in the oven under the broiler until they browned a bit. Added the toasted sesame seeds at the end. The sauce was wonderful and would be very good over chicken too.
Alright…I made this today and am on my 2nd plate right now (its 630 P.M. over here in Germany). I put this on…or rather, had my 13 year old put the pot on and start it.
I prepped everything last night, put the ribs in a large ziploc bag with everything EXCEPT the sliced onions and let it sit and marinate all night. I had my son squeeze and work the bag with the sauce and meat and at 12 noon, I had him put the onion in the pot and then the meat with all the sauce on top. He turned the pot on low and let it cook while I was at work and my husband called me around 445 and told me that I had to hurry home because he had to beat my son off the pot with a wooden spoon (good thing I only live 15 minutes from where I work…LOL)
This is AMAZING!!!!
I wonder if this would work with thick boneless pork chops. I don’t have any ribs at the moment and I would love to try it for dinner tomorrow.
This is an amazing recipe. I had to drain off the liquid and make a thicker sauce with corn starch. My dad loved it!
This looks really good and EASY!!..Im going to try it!! and like a another viewer stated Im going to thicken the sauce ,and use for “dunkin’”
Thanks
Holly smokes!! made this for supper tonight and it was a hit with everyone, even the fussy 4 year old!!!
