Our Handy Dandy Emulstir

Shortly after my college graduation, I lived in Germany for a year working in a bakery and small grocery store. This is the time in my life when I really learned to appreciate cooking. I had been baking in the past, but the joy of cooking was new to me.

I loved working with fresh produce and experimenting with new things. For example, my host mother taught me a myriad of good recipes for salad dressings, from very basic recipes to more complex dressings for very specific salads. Since I have been come back to the U.S., I have made most of my salad dressings from scratch.

I never had a problem making the dressings: just put the ingredients in a container with a locking lid, shake until mixed, then pour into another container to serve.

And then I discovered the Emulstir! It allows you to mix the dressing and pour from the same container. And you can store the dressing right in the Emulstir. This handy little outfit also includes a guide on the side for an oil and vinegar dressing base, so it is easy to use even without a specific recipe.

So, I’m wondering – how does the emulstir work? Can it be purchased from The Good Cooking Store?

Does your store have a catalog or email order site? I didn’t see that info when I clicked on the store website, but would love to look at your wares.
